2021 Keys Values that Has Been Learned from Work Environment

2021, is a year which full of surprise and unpreditable things. Soooooo many things happened and pop up in front of me. Actually, I have been given a trust to handling a little teams, about nine of main core people and seven people indirectly. This is so excitedly give me headache but a much JOY at the same time. Why? Because it is fun to learn new things and solved the problems together.
First time to handling a team is not easy as it looks. Almost 2 and half years, it is exhausting, tiring, disappointing, stressfull, hopeless and so on. But, as the time goes by, day by day, the problems pattern start to be clear and mostly the same. I mean like, how to solve it is not only based on the text book and we have to experiencing directly to know the answers. How to lead a teams well, how to find the root cause of the problem, how to persuade others, how to running and finish a few projects as well and so on. Then it becomes a habit, a key learn and becoming my self right now and still full time learning to be a good junior leader.

So, here are some of the keys values that has been learned which are very important to improves our teams performance :

1. Trust
The first main things is about Trust. If we don't trust our team, they will won't work. So build a trust to everyone in the team until they trust you and vice versa. How? Everyone has their own way to be trusted.

2. Empathy
It is about try to understand one by one a personal approaching who is a person in our team. What they need and what they feel. Valuing their perspectives. Sometimes I have to put my shoes in their shoes, what would it be if I have this or that decision, what would they felt, is it to much pressure for them? is it humanist? Is it bad or good? It is about a sense.

3. Listening
Everyone wants to being listened, listened and listened. But rarely wants to being active listener first. I've learned to always listen what my team thinkings. We will lead better when we have a deep commitment to listening to them and understanding what they are saying. Notice their body language, do not interrupting while speaking and give a nice feedback.

4. Healing
As simple as creating a healthy work-life balance environment. Both physically and mentally. We have to make sure our team has a knowledge, support and resources. Make sure the are doing the job in an effective way. Help them to be happy and engage in their role.

5. Self Awareness
After we try to getting know what is the strength and the weakness of each person. We have to know about ourself too. What is the plus and minus, so we can fit in and align our values to people around us well.

6. Persuasion
It will become more natural to encourage the team to take action with persuasion rather than authority. We can persuade people well without damaging relationship or taking advantages of others. We have to build our expert first. Because people will perceive us as an expert and they will more likely to listen to us when we want to persuade or inspire them.

7. Conceptualization
This is about how we see a great dream so that we look beyond day to day realities to the bigger picture.

8. Foresight
Everythings that we have learned ftom the past, either experience or knowledge, it will become an insight to predict what is likely happen in the future.

9. Good of teamwork
When we already doing all the keys above, it will naturally creating a good teamwork between our teams. Also it will bring us to the company goals as well.

10. Humility
This is my own most important basic in my life. All is about humility. Thinking high but still on the ground. We can't be a good leader without a good team. We are the same employee in a company. The difference is only in responsibility. We have more responsibility than our subordinate. But it doesn't mean that we can arbitrary to our teams. So, stay humble and it will makes us more wiseful.

11. Collaboration
When we are meet so many kind of person, teams and also others people in another department, we have to makes a good collaboration so that the objectives can be achieved based on company's goals and values.

Also the most important things are always eager to learn and look for a coach or great mentors that will help and guide us to the right path. Company's which came from the late latin word companio ("one who eats bread with you"), which is the people who eats bread with us is a people like a family have gathering to eats bread. It means like in the company we should have working, sharing happiness, feels and togetherness in a good way such like a second family. Everyone always has the motivation why they work, why they have to doing this and that, why the work with us. We can not creating their motivation, but we can keep their motivation to always sparkling and lighten up!
